Heather Locklear to return to "Melrose Place"

<div><p>LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Heather Locklear, who played a scheming advertising executive in 1990s drama "Melrose Place," is reprising the role in the new version of the show, the CW television network said on Tuesday.</p><p>Locklear will star again as Amanda Woodward in an episode airing on Tuesday, November 17. The CW has declined to say how many episodes would feature the actress.</p><p>Locklear, 47, was one of the biggest stars of the original "Melrose Place" when she played a blond vixen whom viewers either rooted for or rued.</p><p>Locklear's addition to the new "Melrose Place" comes as the remake has suffered disappointing ratings since its September 8 debut. Last week the hour-long soap opera had 1.8 million viewers, which was down 21 percent from its debut episode.</p><p>The new "Melrose Place" is both a remake and a continuation of the original series, which aired on Fox from 1992 to 1999. Other stars who came back for the latest version include Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro.</p><p>"Melrose Place" revolves around the personal dramas of 20-something professionals and students living in a Los Angeles courtyard apartment.</p><p>Locklear, who has been nominated for six Golden Globe awards, also starred opposite Michael J.
